It’s that time of year again when ghouls, ghosts and zombies are lurking around, ready to scare little children and eat them all up! Ok, ok, maybe not them eat them but definitely scare the living daylights out of them! With Pumpkins, witches hats, broomsticks and frightening masks running low in stock in the shops it’s a sure sign there will be a lot of trick or treaters walking around! YouTube is full of videos from iPhone Speed Tests (wink) to people showing off their guitar skills all the way to how to mad people running in a bush just for fun, honest! Well some of these videos may have a great sound track, be a podcast, or should that be videocast. Anyway it might just have a sound that you would like to download to add to your library, iPod or a Mobile Phone.

This is where the question comes in, is there a way to download the audio from a YouTube video? Your probably saying yes there is but they either don’t work very well, loose quality or you have to pay for them! Well not anymore….

Video2MP3.net allows you to extract the audio from YouTube Videos for Free!

Video2MP3.net is a free converter that will extract the Audio from a YouTube Video and allow you to download it as an MP3. Not only that but you also have the ability to download a High Quality version, which when I tested, didn’t appear to me to have lost any quality from the original audio from the Video.

In order to use the service you simply copy the original web address on YouTube, paste it into the box on the website hit convert and sit back and let the website do the work for you. If you want a High Quality version it does take a little longer but in my opinion it’s worth it to get that full quality! Definitely give this a go!

A Note to FireFox users: You are able to install an addon available HERE, this will add a download to MP3 and download to High Quality MP3 under the description bar of every YouTube video. This will then link you to the Video2MP3 Website and just saves you from having to copy and paste the address.

When I was young, before before we had Internet access I used to buy all my PC Games from GAME as this was the only shop near me that sold Video Games. However with access to the Internet you don’t have to live anywhere near a shop that sells games in order to buy them. When I used to buy PC Games from GAME the price was around £30-£35 however with people using the Internet to access not just one but hundreds of shops all selling the same game it means there is excellent competition which drives those prices down.

However the problem is finding who is cheapest! Even though we are sitting down typing a few words into the browser, we humans are still lazy and usually unless the item we are buying is very expensive, we buy the product from the first perhaps second website we come across.

There are compare price websites out there for most things now, I mentioned several just for Car Insurance in my “Car Insurance” Post I made on 18th May 2009. There’s Food Compare websites, Electricity, Broadband, you name it there’s probably a comparison website out there.

Well a year or two ago a friend of mine showed me GamesTracker. This website is the best Game Price Comparison website I have come across and has saved me a small fortune. GamesTracker compares prices from many websites, including Amazon, Play, HMV, Asda, GAME, Tesco, Games Station, Simply Games, and lots more.

GamesTracker also stores prices for New and Used and even Downloadable games for all the major Platforms like PC, PS3, XBOX 360, Wii, DS, PSP, PS2, XBOX, and GBA. The website is really simple too use and you don’t have to register which is always a plus. The prices are listed clearly and even show you the Postage and Packing Prices aswell. In the above example I looked searched for inFamous a fairly new arrival to the PS3. The site showed me that in the UK Toys R Us are selling the game for £44.94 inc P&P but Powerplay Direct are selling it for £34.98 thats nearly a saving of £10 instantly!

Overall in these times when most people are having to be careful with there spending GamesTracker is one of the best ways I believe you can save money, on video games anyway.
