Want a absolutely fantastic app to play? Want great Visuals? Want Great Physics? Sprinkle is for you just be warned its very, addictive!

It has been a while since our last App review but this one caught the eye of myself any many others for its fantastic looking graphics, excellent physics and addictive gameplay! Sprinkle is one of those Apps we rarely see, with its uniqueness and fantastic design it should be right up there with such greats including Angry Birds and Doodle Jump. My only warning with this game is it is very addictive and you will want to spend hours saving the little monsters homes from being burnt to a crisp!

Lets call him "Boris" for now

That brings me on to what Sprinkle is all about. Basically you’re in control of a water cannon that goes up and down and will tilt in nearly 180 degree direction. You need to use the water cannon to put out all the fire as quickly as possible before you run out of water or a home of the “little monsters” gets destroyed. It’s not a simple case of pointing the cannon at the fire and clicking “squirt” either. The maps aren’t all simple and contain blocks you have to move and more physics elements too.

You can get the app from the Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad or from the Android Market Place. Still undecided?

Why not check out our video review below:

Overall

Overall Sprinkle is a fantastic must buy app. Get it now before your friends and show them what they are missing out on! With lots of levels and addictive gameplay you will be putting out fires with Ouie (the firefighter) for hours! Therefore this app gets a very very rare 5 out of 5 clouds rating as it deserves every single one!

Thanks to Mediocre for allowing us to use visuals in this review, and thanks for the great app!

Have we got the iBallz to Review the iBallz for the iPad and other tablet devices? Of Course we have!

In the past we have reviewed many cases designed to protect your precious gadgets. Theres a lot of cases out there and it takes something completely ingenious to stand out in this saturated market. Well the iBallz team have managed just that! There unique design puts them solely in their own category and streaks ahead of the boring old case manufacturers. What’s so special about the iBallz? Well lets find out…

What are iBallz?

Well let me tell you. iBallz are 4 EVA Balls attached together with a cord. You place a ball on each of the 4 corners of your device, be it the iPad, Kindle, Motorola Zoom and others, then you pull the cord nice and tight and thats pretty much it!

Ok so now my Device has the Balls but what now?

If you have ever dropped your device you will know how about that sudden rush of fear you feel. Hopefully it was protected when you dropped it, well drop it with the iBallz on and you should be safe! The 4 soft shock-absorbing balls will absorb the impact of a drop of your device and their unique design means your device should never come in contact with the ground no matter how you drop it! Not only are they great for drops but also for spills. The amount of times I have knocked over a glass of Pepsi Max on my desk while, working, (gaming), is too many to count and every time I have to quickly rescue my gadgets. With iBallz there is no worry as they cleverly raise the device off the surface so any liquid spills will just be able to slide right underneath and never touch the device, clever eh?

Nice so drops sorted, spills sorted anything else?

Glad you asked! Remove one of the iBallz and put it in the centre of your device and you instantly get an angled device ideal for drawing on or typing using the virtual keyboard. Another great feature is with the cord you can actually hang your iBallz pretty much anywhere so if you want it hanging on a door, wall you can which is great for storage and gives a unique way of viewing the device. Finally when gaming they are great. Why? Well they give you a different and in my opinion a much better way of holding the device giving you greater comfort over longer periods and also additional control. In racing games you feel like your actually holding a wheel now!

I love it can I get one?

Of course you can our friends over a MobileFun sent us this and you can pick up your own along with lots of iPad 2 Accessories and other great stuff like this!

Fingerprints love the iPad, and the iPad Loves fingerprints. But it can be really annoying when you beautiful wiped clean screen instantly is covered in fingerprint marks, well here is the solution to that and glare all in one!

It seems pretty standard now that when we buy our brand new shiny gadgets we instantly need to protect them from real life. You see, manufacturers make devices that look great, that play on our desire for beauty and usability. However we all live in the real world, full of dust, dirt, concrete. Not only that but manufacturers love to make screens all bright and shiny! Which yeh, looks great but its not useful when you have to put greasy fingers on them and want to use them in direct light. We have covered iPad Cases and iPad Sleeves and now we can add iPad Screen Protectors to our list. SGP create a range of good quality cases and screen protectors for many devices and the Anti Fingerprint protector with Anti Glare qualities is supposed to be one of the best screen protectors for the iPad.

Install

Check out our Video which shows you the install and gives you some great information about this screen protector.

In the video you see that there is an issue with a defect in the film. The problem was the box got crushed in the post which isn’t SGPs fault but when it costs £15-£20 it is rather annoying, this should of been chased up but I failed to do that. It doesn’t cause any problem when using the iPad and when the screen is on you can’t see the defect, just looks ugly when it is off.

Overall
I’m excluding the defect from this overall review.

Overall the SGP Screen protector is possibly one of the best I have used on any device. It actually manages to really reduce fingerprints when using the device, no more constantly wiping the device or embarrassment when showing your iPad to friends. The anti glare works great, using the iPad in direct sunlight works fine, and the film really defuses the light. The only slight issue is the film does make the screen a little darker so you need to bump up the brightness a bit, and the text looks a little more blurry but its hardly noticeable. Therefore the SGP Steinheil AF for Apple iPad Anti Fingerprint LCD Protection film gets a rating of 4.5 clouds.

Dirt, liquid and concrete are all words who’s only association with gadgets is a bad one! The iPad is one of these gadgets which dirt, liquid and concrete could damage or even destroy it! Therefore keeping it safe and secure from these nasties is a must! Introducing the Tabi Hard Case! This well made, strong tablet sleeve is designed to protect your iPad, PlayBook, Galaxy and any other tablet less than 10″ in size! Tabi sent Cloud Bite a review unit to test out a couple of weeks before it’s launch and here is how we got on!

Video Review

As always Cloud Bite has made a video review of the Tabi Hard Case. For those of you who just want to sit back and have a watch here it is.

The Tabi Hard Case was tested using a Apple iPad 1st Gen.

Design

The Tabi has got to be one of the best iPad sleeve cases we have seen, in-fact its on of the best cases of them all. Firstly it’s design is something very different from what we are used to. It features small half sphere shaped “bubble” on either side which not only gives it s funky look but aids it’s impact protection too. The “bubbles” were soft but not too soft and actually helped us to get a firm grip on the case. Along with this is a rough cotton outer shell designed to give you the best sort of grip on the sleeve when walking around with your iPad. It also gives the case a much more expensive feel and look by touching the carbon fibre look.

The inside of the case is, well bright green and we loved it. It was a shock when opening this plain black case to find the inside bright green, but it was a pleasant shock. Too many manufacturers seem to only bother with the other look of their cases but Tabi had thought about the inside just as much as the out!

Protection

Previously we mentioned the outer “bubbles”, not just for looks these are there to take the impact of a drop. Remember how you loved popping bubble wrap as a kid? All right we still love it too, well the Tabi case is just like that! It has a outer set of bubbles to absorb impacts if you drop the case, just these bubbles pop right back up unlike the bubble wrap! The dual zips give you quick and easy access but also keep the case very secure with their strong metal design. Metal! What about scratching the iPad? Give me chance, Tabi has thought of that! They have added an inner rim that keeps the case away from the edge of the tablet when zipping and unzipping, clever eh?

The inside, covered in very soft cloth. Unless you put a brick inside the case with your iPad it won’t get scratched due to the ultimate softness of the inside. Also there is extra cushioning from the small padded squares that sits directly on your screen in order to take more impact from a drop and give your screen the best chance of survival! Finally the corners in which the tablet sits are made from a rubber style foam to give the corners that bit extra protection from shocks plus they are moveable so can take a tablet from 10? or lower and this includes an iPad with a case on already (see photos or video).

Overall

Tabi Case

Overall the Tabi Hard Case for the iPad and <10″ tablets is the best sleeve case we have come across. Not only does it give fantastic protection from dust, dirt and grime but it also gives you the best possible protection from shocks and drops, short of a bullet proof briefcase!

Pros:

Great Impact Protection with shock absorbing corners and 24 bumpers (bubbles) .
Unique styling.
Very soft interior and cushioned screen protection.

Cons:

Adds some extra width over some sleeves (but worth it for protection gained)

For its protection and fantastic design Cloud Bite Rates the Tabi Hard Case at 4.5 clouds only loosing points due to the impact bubbles add a little extra width than some sleeves, but you need to decide if your prefer space or protection, we prefer protection! The case is available from Tabi.uk.com, Amazon and Tabi Ebay Store on 20th October for £24.99!

Thanks to Tabi for sending us the case to review you have earned a Cloud Badge…

Cydia and Rock have become one, the merge is pretty much complete, Jailbreakers, it's party time!

Over the past few days the transfer has been complete and Rock Your Phone, has fully transferred to Cydia. If you haven’t got a clue what this means then your probably not an iOS user or your not into the whole “Jailbreak” scene. Basically when a iOS device is jailbroken they have access to Apps /scripts etc that Apple doesn’t approve. Well so that jailbroken users can get these apps easily they can use Applications such as Cydia and Rock which act as App Stores for jailbroken apps! Cydia was the original and in many peoples eyes the best App store for jailbroken users. Rock however is faster, looks sweeter on the eye and has exclusive apps that Cydia doesn’t have. These exclusives are created by the Rock App team and are very popular Apps. Originally announced on 11th Spetember 2010, the transfer is pretty much complete, which now makes Cydia the largest Independent App Store in the World. Rock users need not worry about their purchases though as these will all be transfered if not already and if your thinking what about the backup feature, then never fear as that is been added to the Cydia store!

Here are some Rock Facts:

Number of Developers with apps listed in the Rock Store: 124 (from 19 countries)

Unique iOS devices that installed Rock: 4.6 million (from 220 countries/territories)

Registered Rock Users: 2+ million

Number of App licenses sold: 500,000

Users of who took the plunge and bought something: 280,000 (from 185 countries)

Users who said screw it and installed a hacked version instead: 38 billion (please send us $1)

Total Rock Your Phone Store Sales (March 12th, 2009 – September 2010): $3.3+ million

Number of Rock Employees (we are using the word employee loosely here but, hey, it is our company): 9

Cases can be really expensive for the iPad, but here is 2 really good ones for under £5!

The iPad isn’t a cheap device. It costs anything from £429 to £699, so you will want to keep it protected! However if your on a budget and have been saving up for the iPad the last thing you really want to do is spend £30 on a case for it. However you do want to protect your £429+ investment. I decided to have a look on eBay and see if I could spot any cheap cases that do a good job. There is a huge selection on eBay but what puts most people off is, 1. The fear of been scammed, 2. The fear of getting a poor quality item. Well thats why I did this, I took the risk for you!

Firstly I want to add, to make sure eBay doesn’t come knocking at my door or inbox, on the majority of purchases you are fully protected if a seller doesn’t send you the item or its faulty etc. However if you say buy a case from china thats cost a few quid, decide its rubbish and want to return it you may have to pay more to return it that it cost so this can also be a put off.

I spotted 2 cases that looked kinda nice, the first being a silicone case, with a hole around the Apple logo on the back and a nice spot effect on the back, and the second being a zip up sleeve in black with what appeared to be a bit of a dodgy Apple logo. They both came in reasonable time, both from China/Hong Kong and here is the review…

TPU Silicone Case Skin Cover Black – £2 inc P&P

This case was advertised as a silicone case, ultra thin, attractive design, access to all controls, in the colour black.

The case arrived and I unboxed it on camera (see below), it wasn’t in any specific packaging at all but had no scratches or blemishes on it all. Personally I wouldn’t call it a “Black” case and the picture on the eBay site looks much blacker than it actually is. The colour is more of a smoke grey to brown colour but still looks really nice. The spots add a cool effect to the back as well and if you want to show that Apple logo off you can due to the whole in the back. The silicone feels great and really tough even though its pretty thin. The dock, jack and rotation lock are uncovered and even the speakers have been precisely cut out individually leaving 3 neat holes, which even many of the £30 cases don’t achieve! The volume control and sleep/wake button are fully protected. The case fits snugly, I was using a invisible shield which caused a couple of issues squeezing it on but then it was fine. Overall really impressed with it worth £10 at least brilliant buy. The seller I got it from had no feedback at the time but I had no problems. This is a link to the sellers page as the listings go after a while, just search for TPU Silicone Case Skin iPad!

This case was advertised as a memory foam case with anti-shock, lightweight foam. Simple and stylish.

I ordered this case several weeks ago and it arrived pretty quickly but I didn’t do an unboxing but you can see the case in the video review below. The case seems pretty well made and the foam is soft but hard enough to take an impact. Its not designed exclusively for the iPad but with the fake Apple logo on it, it is obvious who it is targeted for. The case has 2 zipps that can pull around to the back hinge giving you full access to the iPad, or you can just open one side for quick access. The case is ideal for transporting the iPad around and I have used it on a few occasions, but as soon as you take it out of that case, which is needed to use it you do loose all protection. However if the iPad is wearing a case like the silicone one above it fits in fine. This is a link to the sellers page.

So overall for around £5 you can get 2 cases, 1 for attaching to your iPad to give protection when using it and another for transporting it! Not bad really for the money! Just a quick note these sellers were fine with my purchases but I have not been asked to review the cases or mention them specifically. I have added links to them just to give you the direct link to where I got mine but remember check eBay there may be a better bargain! Also if you do have any problems make sure you pay with PayPal and eBay will help you out!

Why not get the most out of photography and the iPad by using the Apple iPad Camera Connector. but is it worth the £25 price tag?

The iPad is a great device for viewing pictures and with most people now owning a digital camera, whether it be a SLR, a compact or just one built into a mobile phone, photos have moved on with the ages and there’s more now than ever before. From the first form of photographs which of course were paintings all the way the the digital photos of today, photographs are loved all around the world. In this digital age there are so many ways to view photographs too from tradition 6×4 prints, to checking out your mates on FaceBook or viewing them on a digital picture frame, the human race loves photos! A newer device has recently popped up and this Application running, music playing, video rendering marvel we all know as the Apple iPad is a great photo viewer too! With it’s ability to let you scroll through your photos, zoom in and out with a pinch and even becoming a (expensive) but fantastic digital photoframe why not add to these abilities by using the Apple Camera Connector…

The Connector which retails around £25 (attow) gives you the ability to transfer images straight from your digital camera (via USB) or via an SD Card, onto the iPad skipping the hassle of syncing with a computer! If your a photography enthusiast or a wanna-be enthusiast (like me) and you got an iPad why not marry the two together by getting this piece of kit?

Why not just save £25 and sync it? I don’t get the point?

Right ok no problem let me give you some suggestions and see what you think. Firstly lets say your out and about and you taken your 3 favourite gadgets, usually your phone, your iPad and your camera! Your busy, snapping away taking some fantastic pictures, be it of your kids, of friends an exhibition you have always wanted to see or just one of them once in a lifetime moments. Oh no! you have only gone and completely filled up your SD card. Now you have a couple of options get another SD card out, quickly scroll through on that mini screen on the back of your camera and try and delete some pics, or connect the camera to the iPad back up your photos straight onto it and hey presto your ready to start taking photos again! During my test I transferred 8GB of Raw and JPEG files mixed onto the iPad within 20-25min.

Ok so that was scenario one! What about if your on a longer trip, like my recent trip to London. I took about 32GB worth of SD cards so was covered there but when I got back to the hotel I decided to have a look at my pics and had to use the back of the camera as I hadn’t brought this kit then. I had a look as best I could and they looked ok, some a bit dodgy but some ok. I got home transferred the pics to the PC and noticed some really nice images were ruined as I had whacked the ISO too high which made them all grainy. If I had been able to see the photos earlier i.e. on my iPad I would of noticed this Newbie mistake on day 1 and adjusted what I was doing!

Finally have you ever been out taken some pictures and would love to be able to show, family and friends when you took them home but they haven’t got a TV that can read a memory card, or a PC to view them on? Well the iPad is great for this! you can pass it round showing each other the pics or even get the TV connector and link it straight with there red and yellow av plugs!

Arh yeh never really thought of them, so how does it work?

Glad you asked check out this unboxing/review video I did, should give you a good idea!

Yeh, well I hope you get the idea at least now why this is a good accessory to get. Would you get it if you weren’t much of a photographer you just take pics on your phone or now and again? No, don’t bother but if you like taking a lot of pics and want to make life a little easier then why not? After all, you have spent at least, what, £420 on the pad what’s another £25 eh?

Overall I’m pretty impressed with it, is it worth £25, no not for what you get really but it’s Apple so nothing is cheap but your paying really for what it does!
Pros:

Can use iPad as Storage for images on the go.

Quick and simple to use, just plug and play.

Supports RAW and JPEG formats.

Small convenient.

Faster transfers than the old iPod Camera Connector

Cons:

Limited to SD or USB from camera which uses cameras power.

Can’t preview images at full size without importing the photo first (pain if you need to be quick)

Old iPod version not compatible.

Connectors don’t work with anything other than the iPad (very silly Apple come on!)
