Whilst in the car you should keep you phone secure, and I don’t mean in your hand. In the UK it is illegal to drive whilst using a mobile phone or any device to communicate with unless it is hands-free. If you are caught using your phone whilst driving there’s a £60 fine and 3 Penalty Points added to your licence! Keeping the phone in a secure place like held on the dash and using a hands-free kit is legal as long as it doesn’t affect your driving take a look HERE for more information on the law in the UK.

When driving in the UK you must have car insurance and as my Policy is due for renewal on 1st June I have been hunting around for the cheapest cover.
My current insurer Norwich Union (Aviva) sent a letter saying my renewal with them is £749 and £595 excess if I crash. Now last year it was £849 and £595 excess if I crash, so It has gone down but it still felt a little steep. At time of writing I’m 20 so excess for “Young Drivers” is much higher than 25 and over.
