Hama 110 Colt Syscase

Any DSLR owner will know that taking great photographs is their priority.  Any DSLR owner like me, is likely to take their camera anywhere and everywhere. You never know when that amazing photo opportunity will appear in front of you and the feeling of dread when you haven’t got your camera with you to capture that once in a lifetime shot is heartbreaking. Protecting your camera therefore is likely to be your second priority, the last thing you want to do is drop your camera, causing all kinds of, possibly, irreparable damage. Therefore when LoveCases, with their range of camera case bags, approched me to review the Hama 110 Colt Syscase ideal for any compact SLR I jumped at the chance, especially as I would be taking a trip to Wales and needed something to protect my camera other than a usual backpack.

Design

Made from Black and Red Polytex, the Hama Syscase looks and feels a great accessory for any photographer. It’s sleek design, weighing in at just 210g, provides the camera with great protection yet removes any unnecessary bulk. The front pocket is ideal for storing spare batteries, memory cards and your favourite filters while the main compartment comes with a protective removable separator allowing you to store the camera body and lens separate or together. The soft internal cloth cleans and protects the camera and lens while the outer, rougher, material feels very durable against the elements.

Practicality

The Hama Syscase features an double zip, this is great for anyone who has ever had a problem opening the tiny zips provided on many cases that often step out of alignment and cause more trouble than good. I found this a great addition allowing me to quickly get my camera out to take the shot I wanted. Hama also provides a handle on the top and an adjustable shoulder strap allowing you to carry either way. I found the shoulder strap useful, but actually found I preferred to carry the bag in my hand and being so light it added little weight to my camera. The interior red lining not only looks great but again is really practical. If you have ever had a bad with a dark interior, you will know that finding things inside it is not an easy task. Being a rich red colour you can clearly spot an SD card or battery hiding inside without having to shake the bag upside down furiously in an attempt to find the SD card with your winning photo on!

OverallThis Scores a Amazing 5 Clouds out of 5!

Overall this is a great camera bag for anyone looking for lightweight protection for their Compact SLR. Its durable outer material and much softer red lining not only provide great protection, but are also very practical. The bag made a rainy visit to Wales much easier and is an ideal Canon 550d bag along with other great Compact SLRs. Finally priced at just £14.99 you can’t go wrong and I cannot fault it. Therefore it gets our very rare, 5 Clouds/5 Clouds award and is highly recommended.
