Since the arrival of the iPhone App Store in 2008, it wasn’t long until others decided to jump on the bandwagon and surely wasn’t too long until Apple made a Mac version? Well here it is, a little later than promised but 2011 sees the introduction of the Mac App Store, opening with 1000 apps already. Resembling the iOS App Store the Mac App Store features the usual options such as top paid, top free, featured apps etc. No Surpise? Angry Birds is allready at the number 1 spot, people don’t seem terribly happy about the new Twitter client with no URL shortening, or media support and there appears to be a couple of bugs.
“We think users are going to love this innovative new way to discover and buy their favourite apps,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s chief executive, in a press release.

Mac App Store
To get it just go to software update on the Mac, simples!
Overall though, Apples domination continues how long will it be until you have to jailbreak your Mac to put content on other than than off the app store?
