Internet Explorer 9 LogoFor all of those IE (Internet Explorer) fans out there, (is there any), IE 9 will be fully out of RC and released to the public on 14th March 2011. For those who don’t know or just think IE who uses that, IE 9 actually has come on leaps and bounds since IE 8. The new browser supports many web standards which is great news for web designers and it also has been performing pretty well in tests! Shocker eh? Sure it’s not quite up there with Chrome, Safari and the to be Firefox 4 but its doing a good job and its great to see Microsoft finally implementing standards they should of years ago.

IE 6 Countdown

IE 6 Countdown With 12% of the World Still Using it!

In another note Microsoft has also released a website called IE6 Count Down (ie6countdown.com) where they are counting down the days to the death of the browser that has ruined so many web experiences and plagued so many designers like you and I. Assuming your a designer that is! Many sites, like Cloud Bite refuse to support IE 6 now anyway as it can often mean much more work to get the simple things to just appear correctly or to just work a little in IE6. So long IE 6, I wont miss you!
