How To: Search For An Exact/Modified/Higher Resolution Image

If you have ever wondered if someone is using an image you have created, or wish to check if someones claim a image is theirs when your unsure, or you just after a better quality version of an image then this blog post will tell you how to do that.
Legit Reviews held a competition the other day where people were able to submit their designs of a graphics with the chance to win a ATI 5870 and their design slapped right on it! A very cool competition indeed. The rules stated that the work must be your own or you have the permission of the owner. If  you want to see all the entries you can over on Legit Reviews. There were some cracking entries and of course some not so good but it was great to see all the designs.
As people were posting “their” designs though a few questions were being made towards the authenticity of a few of them and whether they were original or not. Therefore a fantastic website was used to help determine this. It is called TinEye. The site allows the user to upload an image and it will attempt to crawl through its billions of image fingerprints to find an image that matches or partially matches. The Video below Shows you exactly how it works…
The website is really easy to use and worked better than I expected. It solved alot of problems over on the competition page for people claiming the work was their own! Go on give it a try see if your logo pops up!
Website: TinEye
Rated: 8/10 – Really great idea, and works really well just needs to add more images.

Whoa! Well, this is a kick in the teeth for people who can’t be bothered to produce their own work. But I must admit that I steal images without giving credit to the original owner from time to time. I even watermark my images with ‘TOAOSW’ in the bottom right hand corner. If people ask me where I get them from I do come clean tho.
I just hope this site doesn’t catch me out
Glad to have CloudBite being updated once again! It’s been quite a while and I missed your style of writing because to be honest it’s unique. All the best with more posts!
Cheers for the reply mate. ” I missed your style of writing because to be honest it’s unique” I hope that’s in a good way
