Whether you love it or hate it, you can’t deny Facebook has to be one of the biggest success stories of all time. Well Facebook has released it’s stats and in September it passed the 1 billion user mark. It’s been a few rocky months for Facebook with it’s stock price not doing as well as expected and the slowdowns in new-user figures, however it just shows how global Facebook has become.
Of course the numbers are likely to slow down due to the sheer number of people already on the social network but that wont stop Facebook from attempting to acquire more users.
Founder Zuckerberg stated “There’s 5 billion people in the world who have phones, so we should be able to serve many more people and grow the user base there.”
The biggest question though is are these figures really 1 Billion unique individuals or are they made up of the over 83 million “fake” accounts as suggested early in the year?
