No iPad 3, no 2s, no HD just “new iPad”. Anyway moving on from the not so great name, are the fantastic new features. Nothing announced hadn’t already been said in rumours but never the less, the blogosphere and social media crowd seemed generally impressed with the new iPad features so here we are to sum them up for you.

Firstly, and probably the biggest selling point, Retina Display comes to iPad. The 2048 x 1536 display on the iPad means the screen has double the resolution of the previous generation and 40% better saturation for greater colours.
