It’s been 25 years since Microsoft updated it’s logo but today marks the start of a unified Microsoft. Microsoft has decided that a common look and feel throughout it’s services including Windows 8, Windows Phone 8, Xbox and Office provides a familiar and seamless experience. Jeff Hassen over of the TechNet blog said:
“This wave of new releases is not only a reimagining of our most popular products, but also represents a new era for Microsoft, so our logo should evolve to visually accentuate this new beginning.”
Microsoft released the new logo along with this video on YouTube:
“We’re excited about the new logo, but more importantly about this new era in which we’re reimagining how our products can help people and businesses throughout the world realize their full potential.”
So what do you think about Microsoft’s new logo? About time eh?
